Visit our exhibition as part of the project “Call me Isza. Femininity: the Jewish-Polish Women’s Heritage”

The ARTS Foundation and the Janina Czaja Municipal Library in Wiśniowa invite you to the opening of the exhibition organised as part of the project “Call me Isza. Femininity: the Jewish-Polish Women’s Heritage” project. We will have the opportunity to see and hear fascinating stories of Polish and Jewish women from our region. What else is on the programme? Most importantly, in the second part of the meeting we will invite you to an inspiring discussion about where and how to search for and create your own archives (bring your family photos!).

Find some of the archives in our collections on the website of our partner Centre of Community Archives https://zbioryspoleczne.pl/archiwa/PL_1083
We will also present the new grant programme “NOWEFIO – Preserving the History of the Community”. NOWEFIO is a programme of the Civil Initiatives Fund, run by the National Freedom Institute – Centre for Civil Society Development, ARTS Foundation in partnership with the Centre of Community Archives, in which young non-governmental organisations (active for a maximum of 5 years) and informal groups (min. 3 people) can participate.
The competition is open from 8 April to 8 May until 16.00.
All information is available on the project website: https://zachowujachistoriespolecznosci.arts-fun.pl/
