On 16-18 June 2023 a member of our team, Agnieszka Wargowska-Dudek, participated in the 9th National Leaders Dialogue Conference, which is a cyclical event organised by Forum for Dialogue Network – a community that for 25 years has been not only studying Polish-Jewish history, but above all – maintaining and developing Polish-Jewish relations.

During the three-day conference, Agnieszka had the opportunity to take part in workshops and discussions that touched on difficult issues such as the challenges of working with descendants or the limits of balancing the art of giving and refusing. It was also an opportunity to talk about the relationships, expectations and mutual needs of activists and those working on Polish-Jewish heritage.
The insights gained and comments made during the conference made an important contribution, which our representative shared with us when she returned. Finally, the activities of the ARTS Foundation within the framework of the Call Me Isha […] project involve contact with descendants, emotionally demanding conversations and research, and the search for partnerships and allies. The support of a Jewish heritage community such as the Dialogue Forum helps us to forge further collaborations: with local researchers and historians, and most importantly: with the local community.
Thank you for the opportunity to work together!
